When the coronavirus outbreak began, the first thoughts of Marko Brkić, Head of Technical Services at Primaco in Croatia were about protecting the staff when they came back to work. But while the company quickly adapted to the new way of working, following all the necessary precautions, it was also clear to him that operational efficiency was more important than ever.
“International restrictions had a big impact on our business”, said Marko. “But because we adapted quickly to the new situation we continued to deliver for our clients – in fact, we even won some new ones. However, in times like these cost effectiveness throughout the whole business processes has become even more important”. With responsibility for tyre management across the fleet, he works with Goodyear as a long-term business partner, and is working with them to improve efficiency and reduce costs – for example getting maximum distance from each tyre.
“We value the wide selection of products within the Goodyear portfolio. These are reliable products with good performance and Goodyear really understand our needs. Some of our semi-trailers are equipped with FUELMAX T 385/65 R22.5 tyres. With regrooving and rotation, we managed to reach a mileage of 350,000 km.”
